ARTIST STATEMENT

My overall vision is finding what things mean, what things are, why I exist. I’m very wonderous and I focus very much on detail. With my questions and my artstyle, I focus a lot on things that do seem fairly negative, because I feel I want to help for negative outcomes. For example, my project High Hopes was my meaning of mindfulness. During the covid pandemic, I felt really scared on the fact most people around me were depressed and there was an extreme lack of motivation. My techniques to making my art are simple. I have a sketchbook where ideas are remembered and developed. A way I’ve helped myself evolve is by performing in a way of opening my Subconscious mind when I make my art. I like to be very blunt about how I feel, and put the ideas down anyway. Music helps. I play guitar as well. To do things that I’ve never done before helps me come up with more ideas. It keeps my mind calm and my life on track. So my message is simple, calm down, we're going to get through this.
