How do I resize and save an image for the CA Open?

If you have access to Photoshop, follow the instructions below. If you do not have Photoshop, you can download a free trial version of CS5 here. If your free month trial is already expired, you can try other free image editing programs such as Gimp and Picasa.

1. Open Photoshop. Click on File. Click on Open. Find the file on your computer. Open the file.

2. Click on Image. Click on Image Size.

3. Make sure all 3 checkboxes are checked and the dropdown menu at the bottom says, "Bicubic." Change the resolution to 300 pixels/inch. Under Document Size, look to see which is larger, Width or Height. Change the larger one to 4 inches. Click OK.

4. Click on File. Click on Save As.

5. Find a place on your computer where you will be able to easily find the file later. For File Name, type in "LastName_FirstName_ImageTitle". For Format, select JPEG. Click Save.
