Eran Barnea
#mirrorselfies
“I paint portraits of people as they like to see themselves in the mirror,” tells TAG artist Eran Barnea. “Selfies are posted on social media to get likes. They are a visual manifestation of this age of individualism and self-determination—everyone takes a selfie. Everyone is an artist.”
Viewing Reception
Saturday, February 20, 11am-7pm
Masks are required for entry. Limited capacity and social distancing are observed in all our gallery spaces.
“The intimate experience of making art allows me to express ideas, thoughts, and feelings,” explains Shalla. “Joy comes in that special moment when someone connects with a painting and wants it to become part of his or her life.”
An evocative painter, Shalla creates abstracts, with heavy surface quality and vibrant colors. Her work delights with motion and excitement.
TAG Artists present Windward
The collective community at TAG Gallery presents a fresh, all-member fine art showcase exploring the wind. Reflective of Los Angeles and the places from which they’ve blown in, TAG’s artists share works across a diverse collection of fine art media in our South and East Galleries.
TAG Curates Northern (L)attitudes
If art imitates life, then artworks born in bucolic serenity should differ perceptibly from those produced amidst urban cacophony. Do they? Judge for yourself as TAG Curates presents Northern (L)attitudes, a unique exhibition of painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media by ten artists from the Mendocino Art Center and California’s rugged North Coast.
