Carlos Buitrago show is a representation of regular human activities, which became extraordinary, exceptional and adventurous during the pandemia. It also addresses our new normal living the outside world through the camera and the screen of a computer device. An exhibition study of human-like, animal-like, and plant-like figures doing activities that otherwise we would be doing without a pandemic.
About the Artist: Carlos Buitrago artwork has been focused on engaging audiences and introducing them an experience as a Colombian-born artist who grew up in Los Angeles. Buitrago is interested in the conversation that takes place between art and the audience. Therefore, creating art that invites audiences to go beyond the experience of a passive observer and enter into. Every piece created offers the viewer a chance to delve into the meaning and nuances suggested in the work.
