Color and texture engage the soul with Douglas Teiger’s new solo exhibition Unspoken Word: A Dialogue with the Spirit on display at TAG Gallery November 3-28, 2020.
“Each large, abstract oil painting reflects the sense of joy and serenity that emerges through meditation and the constant pursuit of inspiration,” explains artist Douglas Teiger. “This work is a dance of co-creation with Spirit. In this dance, Spirit’s energy moves through me as I connect paint to canvas. The fine art is a manifestation of openness, creation, and love.”
Douglas begins each painting session with a meditation that requests spiritual assistance in a process of heartfelt, loving co-creation. The color, pattern, form, and texture of his work suggest both the depth and lightness, randomness, and intention of human existence. They are equally bold and gentle reminders of the need to pause, reflect and be ever-present in our world.
Unspoken Word runs November 3 – November 28, 2020 at TAG Gallery, 5458 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036. The gallery is open 11am -5pm, Tue-Sat.
