Through the use of paint, paper and other materials, three contemporary LA artists—Anahid Boghosian, Tanya Mikaela, and Rebecca Marie—explore questions of real-life societal expectations and constraints re- garding women’s roles today.
Acknowledging the many different facets of experience and the fractured aspect of life in today’s world of upheaval, the artists take pieces of different materials and combine them into works that speak of emotions, inequity, uncertainty and unity.
Rebecca Marie is a TAG Artist and the co-founded a successful visual effects company. She worked for 20 years as a supervisor, art director, and artist. Leaving that behind, Rebecca has made painting her sole focus.
Anahid Boghosian is an American-Armenian multi-disciplinary artist whose works include paintings, assem- blage and installation. Her work is both captivating and inviting, achieved by her ability to express a unique point of view, that speaks to a universal truth.
Tanya Mikaela is a contemporary artist who paints with paper. Tanya’s collages express her spiritual journey, her passion for life, and the allure of the Divine Feminine. She’s just completed her first book, The Circle—A Woman’s Guide to Joy, Passion and Authenticity, guiding communities of women to a joy-filled and inspired life.
