Artist Statement:

Since ancient times, humanity has turned to art as a means of storytelling, documenting events, and preserving history. My work continues in this tradition, offering a commentary on global climate change and environmental imbalance. Through my paintings, I explore the profound impact of human activity on nature, encouraging reflection on the present and future state of our world. This dialogue seeks to deepen our appreciation of this critical juncture in history and underscore the urgency of safeguarding our planet for generations to come.

Nature has always captivated and inspired me. When I arrived in the Northwest, I was struck by the power, beauty, and spirit of the land. This revelation fuels my creative expression, which strives to convey the essence of this region through my work. Each piece is imbued with a distinctive visual language of intricate patterns and harmonious compositions, forming a visual tapestry that invites viewers on a journey of discovery.

The subjects of my paintings often emerge from a tapestry of smaller narratives, reflecting the pressing environmental challenges of our time—global warming, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, air pollution, and industrialization. To draw attention to these issues, I often juxtapose representations of human activity with the natural world, creating a poignant contrast. This tension encourages us to confront our truths as a species and examine our role in shaping the future of this planet.
