Stay Home Orders in Los Angeles

In late March, 2020, residents of California were asked to Stay Home to help flatten the curve of infection caused by COVID-19. This meant shutting our doors and asking artists and community members to stay safe at home. Over this period, we challenged our artists to rethink their work by aligning it—whether new works or old—to a series of twenty creative prompts.

THe Challenge

We asked the artists to match new or old artwork to twenty prompts:

1. Abstract

2. Portrait

3. Still life

4. Color

5. Childhood Toy

6. Artist's Choice

7. Landscape

8. Self Portrait

9. Interpret another TAG Artist's work in your own style

10. Mythology

11. Favorite type of weather

12. Favorite artist

13. How do you feel?

14. A place you want to visit

15. Favorite body part

16. Artist's Choice

17. Self Portrait

18. Technology

19. Interpret another TAG Artist's work in your own style
