In this session we will take a look at artist data in the United States and how it applies to individual fine artists and their artist practice. Who is an artist and what is considered art in the contemporary market? Where do you fit among your fine art peers?
A four part seminar for Artists & Art Professionals, led by award-winning fine artist and arts entrepreneur K. Ryan Henisey, Saturdays and Sundays, September 25 & 26 and October 2 & 3, from 3-4:30pm (Pacific). This is a LIVE, IN PERSONseries of events located at TAG Gallery. Sessions are sold individually ($25) or as a complete package ($85 through September 15). Each session is approximately one hour, followed by a 30 minute Q&A.
About K. Ryan Henisey
K. Ryan Henisey is an award-winning artist and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles, California. Among other laurels, Henisey was awarded a Public Performance Grant from the city of West Hollywood (2021) and holds and Award of Excellence from the California State Fair (2015). Henisey is the founder of Pattern & Matrix, providing creative and marketing services for artists and arts organizations, founder and editor in chief of Queer Quarterly Magazine connecting LGBTQIA artists from around the globe, and is President and chief executive of TAG Gallery on LA's Museum Row where he oversees more than 50 annual fine art programs for groups and individuals. Henisey's curations at TAG include the 2021 California Open, 2021 Los Angeles Open, Pridepop, Queer Isolation, and more. His fine art has appeared with the City of West Hollywood, throughout private and public venues throughout California, with Muzillion Gallery in China, and at the Garroxta Museum in Spain.
