“Everyone eats, even artists.” Explains TAG artist Ernie Marjoram. “Paintings of food can evoke memories of people and places.”
As a painter, Ernie closely observes the world by capturing the way reality appears through a contemporary impressionist sensibility. Each painting explores a unique approach to color varying with brush strokes that are left visible intentionally as a non-attempt of photographic realism.
“Technical achievement is not my final goal,” asserts the artist. Ernie believes that 21st century artists should explore new subjects, materials, tools and technologies just as the renaissance painters experimented and redefined western art.
