Susan Spector is a contemporary painter living and working in Los Angeles, California. Spector’s body of work is figurative leaning towards abstraction. She paints emotional knee-jerk responses to images rather than an exacting reproduction. Ink lines and bold color in unusual places are meant to be questioned and enjoyed. Spector paints with watercolor, acrylic, and oil, as well as, oil pastel and soft pastels, spray paint and oil sticks.
